Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology (EP)

Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: None

Unit Overview

Unit: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Number of Beds: 1 lab
Staffing: 3-4 staff per procedure, including anesthesia
Day Shift Staff: 3-4 (mix of techs, RNs, and supervisor)
Night Shift Staff: None
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: Philips
EMR System: Meditech
Typical Procedures:
- Standard implant procedures
- All EP ablation cases except VT
- Watchman procedures
Work Environment: Very busy lab with a strong sense of urgency
Team Engagement: 4th highest engagement score in hospital; great team atmosphere
Dress Code: Scrubs provided by hospital

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
