Job Description

Seeking a CT registered Radiology Technologist skilled as a scrub tech for Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology procedures, with required Mechanical Stroke experience. Experience with EP Ablation is a plus but not required. The role involves working 4 shifts per week, each 9.5 hours (typically 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, subject to department needs). Call and weekend shifts are required as needed, with a 30-minute callback and travel time expectation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 5 years of total experience (including Interventional Radiology) for first-time travelers to be considered
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
• Competency as a scrub tech for Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Mechanical Stroke experience
• Ability to work call and weekends as required

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 9.5 hours each.
• Typical shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may vary).
• Call and weekend coverage required.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-R required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other standard screenings.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 12 months.
• Immunizations and health screenings including TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and flu vaccination or approved exemptions.
• Various facility-specific training modules and attestations required (e.g., stroke education, pressure injury prevention, language services, suicide risk assessment, etc.).
• Employment history verification for the last 7 years with no gaps greater than 90 days.
• Skills checklist and competency exams as required.
