Description
Job Title: RN – Stepdown
Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: 12/14/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Days/Nights
Experience Requirements:
-
2 years of acute care nursing experience
-
At least 1 year of high-acuity PCU experience
-
Oncology experience preferred, not required
-
Previous travel experience preferred
-
BLS, ACLS & NIH required
-
Required skills: Dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response, central/PICC/port care, blood administration, IV starts, heparin protocols, cardiac drips, PCA, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation and tracheostomy management

Must float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
Notes:
-
36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 PCU-level beds
-
Patient population includes solid tumors, orthopedic oncology and thoracic oncology
-
Pediatric patients are extremely rare; pediatric experience is not required
-
Patient ratios: 1:3 PCU and 1:4–5 Med/Surg Tele
-
Staffing ratios may vary based on unit needs
-
High focus on infection prevention and fall prevention
-
Shift assignments may include days, nights or a combination, based on department needs and 4-week scheduling periods
