Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU Float Pool

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Weekend requirement: Minimum of 4 weekends shifts in a 6-week period
Holidays: Holiday team will work if there is a need

Requirements:

• VA License
• 1-2 years experience as long as proficient with neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips Must have cardizem, amio, and heparin drip experience
• Must have EPIC experience
• Must have prior travel experience
• Must be able to read/interpret strips and pass ECG exam
• BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS required

Other Details:

• # of Beds: PCU- 52 bed Neuro. (unit 25) Medical Surgical- 52 bed
• Ratios: PCU, , - 1:4 may go to 5, Medical and Surgical- 1:5, may go to 1:6 (rarely)
• Drips: Required to titrate drips
• Floating: Will float between PCU, Overflow, Medical, and Surgical floors to meet the needs of the hospital- can work a different unit every shift.
• Common Diagnosis/Types of Patients: Stroke r/o, chest pain, arrhythmias, Abd pain, post-surgical, altered mental status, dehydration, AKI, CHF, GI hemorrhage, numbness, fever, sepsis, resp failure
• Scrubs: Navy
