Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Cardiovascular IMC CVPCU (Zayed 10 W)

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36 hrs/week
Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• MD license
• 2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience
• At least 2 previous travel assignments
• ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients
• Strong Surgical IMC experience
• RN will need experience with high acuity patients
• RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve repairs and Valve replacements, very heavy Cardiovascular Post-op step down
• EPIC experience
• RN
• BLS
• Critical Care Certification; ACLS preferred

Other Details:

• CVPCU is a fast-paced surgical step-down unit made up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries
• These clinicians specialize in caring for patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs, as well as patients recovering from heart and lung transplants
• 12 of the 32 beds are available for IMC monitoring and the other 20 are for telemetry or non-monitored levels of care
• Nurse-Patient Ratio: Mixed level of care assignments. Ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night
• The CVPCU (Zayed 10W) is a 32-bed surgery unit providing care for patients who are post-op cardiac, vascular, and thoracic. They have 12 IMC- Continuous cardiac monitoring; the rest are telemetry level (Intermittent) and floor level (non-monitored)
