Description

Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) nurses manage the care of the infant, child or adolescent experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. An important part of a PICU nurse’s responsibility is providing education, information, and emotional support to their patient’s family and caregivers.
