Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders that impact their educational performance. Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, the SLP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders while helping students achieve their academic, social, and communication goals.
Primary responsibilities include conducting speech and language evaluations, interpreting assessment results, preparing comprehensive reports, determining eligibility for special education services, and participating in eligibility, multidisciplinary, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The SLP develops and implements individualized treatment plans, provides direct and indirect therapy services, monitors student progress, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with educators and families to support communication skills across educational settings. Additional responsibilities include consulting with staff regarding classroom accommodations and intervention strategies, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and participating in professional development activities to remain current with best practices.
Qualified candidates will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and hold a valid state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or be eligible to complete a Clinical Fellowship (CFY), as applicable. Candidates should have strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and special education regulations, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Previous experience in a school-based setting and bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication and academic success of students in a collaborative educational environment.
