Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Location: San Quentin, CA
Pay: $74–$78/hour, based on license and local/travel status
Schedule: Full-time contract

Care Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in San Quentin, CA.

This role provides mental health services to adult patients in a secure facility setting. The clinician will complete assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and ongoing clinical support as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

* Provide clinical assessments and mental health services to assigned patients
* Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and required documentation
* Provide crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments as needed
* Support patients with serious mental illness, trauma, substance use history, and other behavioral health needs
* Communicate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
* Maintain professional boundaries and follow all facility policies and procedures

Requirements:

* Active California LCSW or LMFT license
* Minimum 12 months of recent clinical experience preferred
* BLS certification preferred or required by facility
* Ability to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environment
* Must be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirements
* Strong documentation, communication, and crisis intervention skills

Preferred Experience:

* Correctional healthcare
* Community mental health
* Crisis intervention
* Substance use or co-occurring disorders
* Serious mental illness or high-acuity behavioral health settings

Compensation:
This position pays $74–$78/hour based on license type, experience, and local/travel status.
