Description

Performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients of all ages. Performs assigned supervisory functions. Maintains the standards of ARRT.
Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer service behaviors
Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists as necessary. Preps patient for exam. Explains procedure and provides education and instruction to patient as appropriate.
Adheres to MRI safety standards
Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast media utilizing age related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy and procedure.
Assists radiologist with MR procedures as requested.
Evaluates MRI images for technical quality
Operates and maintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies. Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check.
Operates hospital computer system. Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunctions.
Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for appropriate quality control.

Submission requirements:

1 year of recent GE MRI experience - [REQUIRED]
BLS- [REQUIRED]
ARRT Certification - [REQUIRED] (Will not consider AMRIT)

About the facility: Silver Cross Hospital features a unique design that creates efficiency between departments and promotes an environment that helps patients heal faster. It is a remarkable 296-bed replacement hospital located on a 76-acre New Lenox campus that includes two medical buildings with several physician offices and outpatient services. New Lenox offers a small town feel with access to the bustling city of Chicago, located just 36 miles North East.

Nights 8 hours 6pm-2:30am & 3:30pm-12am during the week (Mon-Fri) with weekend coverage. Weekend shifts start at 6am, 7:30am, and 10:30am.
