4-1200 is a unit for patients (age 18 and up) with intensive symptom management needs at end of life. Good IV skills, wound care skills, compassion, ability to manage patients with complex needs and families in crisis. Astute assessment skills are mandatory to advocate for patients who often can no longer speak for themselves. The unit also cares for general medicine overflow. Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired. Two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience and BLS from AHA required.

Requirements:
NYS RN License
2 years' experience of recent palliative or acute med surg experience
BLS from AHA
Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired
