Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies including Leader of Self and Leader of Others.
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients, including assessment and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in PICU or related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of Texas or compact state is required.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
- Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days for all newly hired experienced RNs.
