Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients undergoing open heart procedures in a specialized OR room.
• Collaborate effectively with cardiothoracic surgical teams to facilitate complex procedures.
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure focused and individualized patient care.
• Handle standard OR equipment proficiently and manage the electronic medical record (EMR) system Meditech.
• Float to other operating rooms to provide coverage as needed when no open heart procedures are scheduled.
• Participate in call coverage after standard hours, including weekends and holidays, to support the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active Texas RN license.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Demonstrated experience in open heart and cardiothoracic service lines.
• Strong adaptability to float between various surgical service lines such as Trauma, General, Gyn, Uro, Ortho, Neuro, and Plastics.
• Proven dependability and flexibility in demanding and high-pressure environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with surgical and interdisciplinary teams.
