Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with practice level.
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given accurately and timely.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; current RN license in Texas or compact state required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only).
- Current NRP certification required.
- 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred.
- Current C-EFM certification or completion of an AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course.
- Must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
