Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage medical ICU cases, including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and myocardial infarction.
• Administer and titrate intravenous drips including vasopressors and sedatives, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists and intensivists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Attend orientation sessions and successfully pass all required competencies and assessments, achieving 90% or higher on exams.
• Assist with stabilizing patients for transfer to other facilities as needed, especially in cases lacking specialty support.
• Adhere to all infection control protocols, including the prohibition of artificial nails in patient care areas.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with clinical experience in an ICU setting, including proficiency with ventilators and bipap machines.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Ability to read and verify telemetry monitor strips and provide necessary interventions.
• BSN Degree; required for submission.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Commitment to working scheduled shifts, including every third weekend, with flexibility to float to PCU as needed.
