Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a 40-bed unit with an average daily census of 24, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
• Manage care for adult patients with cardiac, dialysis, vascular, and sepsis conditions, among others.
• Titrate and manage drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
• Utilize RT Equipment, including High Flow, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Participate in floating to MedSurg or ICU to manage PCU acuity patients as required.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, including a fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with the ability to submit upon application.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
• Competency in arterial line management and strong skills in reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Adaptability and proficiency in using EPIC charting system in an acute care setting.
• Pass a pass/fail open book exam on Wednesdays during orientation with a 90% passing requirement.
• Ability to work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 holidays during the contract time frame.
