Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical Services, OR Tech / Surgical Tech to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures in the operating room, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques.
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by supplying instruments, sponges, and supplies as directed.
- Monitor and maintain the operating room environment, including patient safety and sterility standards.
- Support the surgical team during complex cardiovascular and general surgeries.
- Facilitate quality patient care with attention to detail and adherence to prescribed safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Certifications required: ACLS and BLS, NBSTSA preferred.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule as required.
- Ability to adapt to various scheduling formats including 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage.
- Demonstrated experience with Epic or similar charting systems.
