Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified OR Tech / Surgical Tech to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room and establish the sterile field, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for surgical procedures.
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment is maintained.
Perform a precise count of sponges and supplies to ensure no foreign objects remain post-surgery.
Coordinate with the surgical team to prepare and manage surgical equipment efficiently.
Support multiple rooms with effective time management and collaboration with the team.
Maintain high standards of patient care in accordance with facility protocols and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
Proven expertise in assisting with open heart cases as a first scrub.
Previous travel experience in surgical settings required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
