Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in Level 3 NICU and ensure competency with neonatal oscillating ventilators.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care across Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses.
• Float between various hospital departments including NICU and Pediatric units based on staffing needs.
• Orientate students or new hires as necessary to maintain quality care standards.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols while utilizing EPIC charting system for accurate documentation.
• Maintain competency with specialized equipment such as Draeger ventilators for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a respiratory therapy role within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Experience and proficiency in using neonatal oscillating and high-frequency jet ventilators required.
• Must hold a current BLS and CRT or RRT credential along with a valid Connecticut state license.
• Experience with travel assignments is essential, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Proficient use of EPIC charting system is required for effective patient management.
• Strong competency in managing critical care scenarios and interdisciplinary communication.
