Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapy - Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients across multiple units, including NICU and pediatric units.
• Operate and manage Draeger Vent and other advanced respiratory equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and monitor respiratory care plans.
• Participate in staff training and orientation as needed, including mentoring students and new hires.
• Float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses as required, responding to census and staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory care experience with Level 1 Trauma experience required.
• Proficient in the use of Draeger ventilators and other respiratory care devices.
• BLS and CRT or RRT certification, plus state license required; ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred.
• Experience in pediatric and NICU settings, with proficiency in neonatal oscillating and jet ventilation preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact effectively with diverse care teams.
• Adaptability to varying work environments and schedules, including weekend and holiday shifts.
