Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Hospice to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to palliative and hospice patients, managing a caseload of 5-6 new patients and 3-4 follow-ups daily.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient charts and assess patient needs effectively.
• Facilitate goals of care discussions and educate patients and families on disease processes and advance care planning.
• Participate in daily rounds and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Utilize strong clinical thinking and communication skills to support end-of-life discussions and patient support.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations, ensuring patient care aligns with professional standards.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in California.
• 2-5 years of recent experience in a palliative and/or hospice setting.
• BLS certification required, ELNEC certification preferred.
• Strong acute care experience, especially in ICU or oncology, is advantageous.
• Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to carry out duties independently and collaboratively within a care team.
