Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy to patients under direction of radiologist and according to established practices.
- Ensure proper equipment setup and patient positioning, using immobilization devices when necessary.
- Monitor patient reactions during therapy sessions and report any concerns to the care team.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and dose calculations.
- Participate in quality assurance by reviewing treatment plans and collaborating with oncology team members.
- Educate and provide emotional support to patients and families regarding the treatment process.
Qualifications
- Current and valid ARRT (T) certification and BLS certification required.
- At least 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ability to use radiation therapy equipment proficiently.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
- Ability to float between units as needed and adapt to changing work environments.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and excellent interpersonal skills.
