Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients accurately and safely.
- Perform regular maintenance and quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
- Assist in planning patient treatment by reviewing and interpreting physician directives and imaging studies.
- Educate patients and families about the radiation treatment process and potential side effects.
- Record and document treatment details in EMR accurately.
- Maintain a safe and sterile work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Radiation Therapist.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in radiation therapy.
- Proficiency in GE radiology equipment.
- Experience with Cerner EMR systems.
- Preferred experience in MRI, especially with breast MRI procedures.
- Available to work rotating weekends as needed.
