Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Neuro PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for up to six medical surgical patients specializing in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
- Administer and manage drips including Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin on all floors.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights in MS/Tele, and 1:3-4 in Stepdown.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams like IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Radiology.
- Ensure preparedness to float to meet staffing needs, as required, including potentially to Bellevue campus.
- Implement hospital policies regarding nicotine use and compliance with scrubs and uniform standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system required.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred.
- Must not be a first-time traveler unless two years' experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center is present.
- Ability to manage and administer various drips and adhere to nicotine-free policy.
- No local candidates; applicants must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.
