Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN - Neuro PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in a 48-bed unit specializing in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
- Manage patient assignments in a mixed acuity setting, including medical-surgical/telemetry and stepdown units.
- Administer and monitor drips such as Insulin, Heparin, and Nitro on all floors.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, care techs, and paramedics to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to various units within the scope of expertise to meet the facility’s staffing needs.
- Utilize EPIC for charting and ensure accurate patient documentation.
Qualifications
- Current RN license, pending accepted if not in hand at submission.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital setting, with expertise in Trauma Level I environments.
- Proficiency in administering cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS.
- Experience in neurology, managing conditions like strokes, seizures, and brain tumors.
