Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist - Acute Care to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services for acute care patients including evaluations and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic processes and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to modify patient plans based on assessments.
- Implement assistive device training and ensure patient safety awareness.
- Perform routine reassessments to determine the progress of short-term goals.
- Manage patient care documentation using electronic charting systems like Epic.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State Physical Therapy License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year acute care experience preferred.
- Proficiency with assistive devices and rehabilitation therapies.
- Strong ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
