Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a 12-bed unit specializing in trauma, surgery, transplants, lung disorders, and ventilated patients.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:3-4, delivering extraordinary care in collaboration with critical care intensivists.
- Ensure compliance with facility protocols and participate in frequent floating to meet hospital staffing needs.
- Utilize EPIC system for charting and documentation for all patient care activities.
- Manage critical drips and provide advanced life support interventions as required by patient condition.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care team activities, including collaboration with support staff and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Active RN license, pending Nebraska RN State License accepted with specific timeline.
- Current certifications: ACLS and AHA BLS required; CCRN and NIH strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in large, urban hospitals; Level I or II Trauma experience preferred.
- Proficiency in managing critical drips, ventilators, and performing advanced airway interventions.
- EPIC charting experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with strong credentials.
- Commitment to working weekends and holidays as required, and compliance with facility nicotine-free policies.
