Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for frequent float assignments within multiple care levels, including Mixed Acuity (Medical Surgical/Telemetry & Stepdown).
• Provide care for neurological patients, including those with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, and brain and spinal cord tumors.
• Manage varying patient ratios, with MS/Tele ratios at 1:5 days/1:6 nights, and Stepdown ratios at 1:3-4 days and nights.
• Handle drips on all floors requiring proficiency in protocols such as Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin management.
• Utilize EPIC charting extensively for tracking patient care and outcomes.
• Contribute to care teams with CNAs, care techs, LPNs, and other interdisciplinary support members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a large, urban hospital setting, particularly Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and CPI is required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Expertise in managing cardiac telemetry, peripheral and central lines, and surgical drains.
• Proficiency in non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care.
• Proven ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Commitment to work 2 out of 3 major holidays and comply with facility-specific scheduling needs.
