Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care/Stepdown role to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care to cardiac patients, post-operative lung surgery patients, and those experiencing respiratory failure, among others.
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios efficiently, typically adhering to a 1:4 PCU acuity.
• Conduct titration of drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and others.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurse and team to provide comprehensive care, including during night's patient assignments.
• Utilize Phillips monitors for telemetry management and accurately interpret cardiac strips.
• Participate in a rotating schedule, including every-other-weekend and holiday shifts with permanent staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in the state of West Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit, Intermediate Care, or Stepdown setting preferred.
• Ability to titrate and manage various cardiovascular drips and respond to high-acuity situations.
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
• Comfort working in a team nursing model with RNs and CNAs.
