Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for stepdown and 1:5-6 for floor beds.
• Administer and titrate medications such as Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, and Cardizem.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry and ECG readings accurately.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical associates, and RTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC for effective documentation and patient record management.
• Practice flexible scheduling while meeting weekend and holiday shift requirements as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and willingness to obtain a West Virginia license if necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Cardiac experience preferred; ability to work with cardiology and cardiac surgery patients.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system is desirable.
• Ability to float and adapt to different unit assignments as needed.
