Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN - MedSurg to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a 52-bed medical-surgical unit with private rooms.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while managing ratios of 1:6-7.
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses and CNAs, adapting to the unit's needs.
- Adhere to facility protocols for IV and medication management with support from the in-house IV team.
- Participate in a rotating holiday and weekend schedule as per unit requirements.
- Float to related units if necessary while primarily focusing on MedSurg.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of West Virginia or willingness to obtain.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS certification is a plus.
- Experience with Allscripts EMR and ability to adapt to electronic charting systems.
- Willingness to wear designated scrub colors for the MedSurg unit.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including alternating weekends.
- Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis handling and ortho post-ops.
