Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN - MedSurg to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals and administrating medications as required.
- Manage a patient load with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7 and adapt to fluctuating ratios.
- Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results with accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with charge nurse and nurse aides to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately using the EPIC charting system.
- Float to different units as needed based on census and facility requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of West Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
- Capability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Experience in handling MedSurg patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and pneumonia.
- Able to effectively use telemonitoring systems and communicate with monitor techs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with interdisciplinary teams.
