Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMC/Stepdown) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to higher acuity neuroscience patients, including those with EVDs and post-TPA management in assigned units.
• Utilize EPIC charting system efficiently to document patient care and monitor conditions.
• Implement titration protocols as prescribed by physician orders in a step-down setting.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff.
• Adhere to mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, ensuring compliance with exemption submission procedures as needed.
• Maintain NIHSS certification and utilize skills in stroke care and management effectively.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, with licensure outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong neuro experience with a history of caring for stroke patients.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system required.
• Previous travel nursing experience with a minimum duration of one year preferred.
• Must be willing to float to designated units and work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
