Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for a 30-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6, based on acuity.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips such as cardizem, amio, nitro, and heparin.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapists who provide 24/7 coverage.
• Monitor cardiac patients, conduct cardiac monitoring and interpret tele strips.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and maintain compliance with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Adapt to schedule requirements, including every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license with ability to read and interpret telemetry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Stepdown/PCU with proficiency in cardiac drips.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; additional certifications preferred.
• Ability to float to any inpatient unit as required, with navy blue scrub compliance.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• BSN not required. Compliance with 50-mile radius rule and license submission needed.
