Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for patients with high acuity conditions, including fresh post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and ventilator support.
• Administer and titrate critical drips such as Cardizem, Dopamine, Levophed, and others as per protocols.
• Perform thorough assessments including hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to implement hypothermia protocols and manage arterial lines.
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with eligibility to practice in West Virginia.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; AHA preferred.
• Experience in CVICU with at least 6 hours post-op open heart patients preferred.
• Proficient in handling temporary pacemakers and post-permanent pacer management.
• Skilled in the use of invasive lines such as arterial lines and Swan-Ganz catheters.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
