Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to neonates and infants as per physician orders and established protocols.
• Provide emergency respiratory interventions in the NICU and Emergency Department when necessary.
• Perform arterial punctures and interpret arterial blood gas results to adjust ventilatory support accordingly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies, including shaving for fit testing requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; NICU experience preferred.
• Valid RRT State License and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting and ability to work in a Level III trauma facility.
• Ability to work every 3rd weekend and participate in a rotating holiday schedule.
• Strong skills in mechanical ventilation management, including CPAP and BiPAP.
• Ability to respond to critical respiratory situations and manage emergency scenarios effectively.
