Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical / Telemetry units to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting, ensuring adherence to established nursing protocols and standards.
• Float to various units including MedSurg floors and critical care units as needed based on staffing requirements.
• Successfully assess, monitor, and manage common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and oncology, ensuring timely documentation and reporting.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, adapting to patient acuity when necessary.
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips with proficiency, without the requirement to titrate drips.
• Collaborate closely with charge nurses and utilize CNAs to ensure effective comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required
• Proficiency with telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience in managing medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system
• Flexibility to work every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
