Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a stepdown unit with a 1:3 nurse-patient ratio.
• Manage care for higher acuity neuroscience patients including those with strokes and seizures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Implement and follow physician orders for titration protocols and medication management.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and timely documentation.
• Adhere to unit-specific dress code and scheduling requirements, including weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing and BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of strong neuro experience in a stepdown setting.
• Ability to manage common titratable drips such as amiodarone and nitro.
• Experience in caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH protocols.
• Flexibility with scheduling and ability to float to similar units as needed.
