Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Emergency Room to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in a Level III trauma center ER environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, paramedics, and technicians to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, adhering to guidelines and protocols.
- Utilize electronic medical records system (Meditech) for documentation for all patient care activities.
- Participate in triage and patient assessment, and manage ER holds effectively within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oregon or ability to obtain a 90-day emergency license.
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required; PALS or ENPC recommended.
- Previous emergency department experience, with proficiency in managing a patient ratio of 4:1.
- Competence in interpreting telemetry and performing EKG readings and blood draws.
- Skilled in using respiratory therapy equipment such as high flow, CPAP, and BiPAP.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
