Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care expertise in the NICU setting with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, screen, treat, and educate patients while adhering to facility protocols.
• Respond to emergencies including code and rapid response scenarios effectively and efficiently.
• Perform floor care and provide respiratory support in the emergency department as needed.
• Facilitate weaning from mechanical ventilation and troubleshoot high pressure alarms.
• Document all care and procedures using Epic health records accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

• Current RRT certification and licensure in the state of Washington.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably with trauma level I backgrounds.
• Proficiency with aerosol therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care.
• Skillful interpretation of ABGs and proficient in inhaled medications and steroids.
• Experience with pediatric care in a NICU, including high acuity cases.
