Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Intermediate Care (IMC)/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the step-down unit.
- Administer medications and monitor patient response, particularly focusing on cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system to accurately document patient information.
- Float between units as required, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
- Prepare patients for procedures and coordinate care plans post-procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered RN license in a compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year progressive care nursing experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Proficient in using EPIC healthcare software.
- Experience with titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is essential.
- Strong skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs).
