About the Position
Specialty: RN – Pre-Operative (Pre-Op)
Experience: 1–2 years of recent pre-op or perioperative nursing experience preferred
License: Active State or Compact RN License
Certifications: BLS – AHA; ACLS preferred
Must-Have: Strong assessment skills, ability to educate patients before procedures, and effective communication with surgical teams
Description: The Pre-Op RN is responsible for preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, verifying pre-surgical instructions, initiating IVs, administering medications, and coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and readiness.
