RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital***RTO Blackout Dates due to College World Series: 6/11/26 - 6/22/26Medical Surgical/Telemetry 6/7 Lied - 6/7 Lied is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit as well as ortho patients. Some of the patients you may care for on these units include Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.This unit is split floors: 7th floor patients are M/S patients with underlying behavioral health conditions that may be flagged as violent (detox, dementia, etc). Floor is secured. Travelers are provided training for safety and de-escalation. Must be comfortable taking care of behavioral health patient population. Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).BLS requiredACLS, CPI preferred2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)Drips are required on all floorsEPIC charting experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some, but not all, floors.100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITYWeekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days: Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night.RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.***Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3 major holidays - please submit this request with applicationLocals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. It is considered a medical surgical unit that will help provide an array of knowledge on all types of patients ranging in age starting at 18.Split floor unit, 7th floor is secured.
