Staffed by specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses along with nursing staff, they focus on preserving both cognitive and physical function to help patients return to their pre-admission baseline. Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Our specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses along with nursing staff focus on keeping the mind and body of our geriatric patients working as well as they did before hospital admittance. Special Equipment : - #Tier3 Travel Compliance Extensions: Effective 2/1/26 (Nursing only, excluding CVOR) Travelers cannot extend for a 4 th consecutive contract. Travelers will need to begin the process of converting to an employee status after working their third consecutive 13-week contract or after 39 weeks. If the traveler does not wish to convert to a team member status, they will be required to take a minimum six-month separation before they are eligible to return as a traveler for the organization. Travelers must be 100 miles from every Prisma facility (regardless of where they are applying) to be eligible to travel in the system, unless they are one of the two exceptions below 90-99.9 miles are accepted at a 10% bill rate reduction 100+ miles full bill rate Exception 1: Night shift travelers for below specialties must be 50+ miles ONLY from the contracted campus they re applying to. Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract.
