Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is located in Northwestern Arizona on the land known as the Colorado Plateau. This semi-desert landscape varies in elevation from 4,400 in the Little Colorado River Valley to nearly 7,000 feet at Preston Mesa. The staff of medical providers includes surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists. Dental staff includes general dentists, endodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, pediatric dentists, dental assistants and hygienists. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNA, and community health medics.POSITION SUMMARYThis position is in the Outpatient Pharmacy Department of Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation in Tuba City, AZ. The Outpatient Operations Pharmacist will work under the supervision of the Outpatient Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for the daily operations of the outpatient pharmacy including, but not limited to managing day-to-day staffing and workflow, assigning daily duties, maintaining outpatient pharmacy compliance standards, and act as liaison between staff and supervisor. In addition to the operations duties, he/she will provide a comprehensive pharmacy and medication management service to patients and ensures a consistent level of service in accordance to TCRHCC policies as a front-line pharmacist. Direct patient care and services are provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients. Incumbent serves as a dedicated front-line pharmacist providing pharmacy services while coordinating day-to-day operations in outpatient pharmacy and providing technical and administrative guidance to professional and non-professional employees i.e. Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians/Trainees, Pharmacy Aides, and Pharmacy Billers. This position may require working rotational shifts: day, evening, weekends, and holidays. Incumbent has the opportunity for career advancement through tier levels as determined by pharmacy experience and involvement. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education, OR Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS-Pharm) degree (with 3 years of experience) from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical EducationCertification:Must have a current valid and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification with the American Heart AssociationExperience: A minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Pharmacist Additional Information:ORIENTATION: Every 2 weeks COVID & FLU EXEMPTIONS: May accept after declination form is submitted HOUSING APP: Must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start - form uploaded in Medefis Position Urgency:Normal Billing string = Tuba City Regional Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks:91
