Special Maternity Care high risk OB unit.-Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend, a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. We care for under 16 weeks high risk patients too on our high risk maternity unit. The Birthing Care Unit has an obstetrical triage unit to allow for screening of patients prior to admission and to perform routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean Births and rescue cervical cerclage are performed.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Unit VERY FAST PACED, busier and higher acuity than might be normally expected. May not be realistic for nurses to take 48hr contracts on this unit due to how busy it is. Disclosure required (with hospital name/dates employed) at submission; facility approval needed. Current travel Per Diem clinicians aren't eligible for travel contracts they must choose one. Include status and intent in the submission. Local candidates ( 50 miles) : Lower rate applies. RTO : Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
