Please confirm your traveler is aware and comfortable with the ratios and unit details**This is a float position and can be floated to an inpatient PCU unit. RN must have PCU exp.*** This is a Boarding unit - pts come from ED and boarded until d/c or moved to inpatient unit. Pt's are stable and moved out if becomes unstable.***This is a 4-bed unit and the ratio's fluctuate depend on need- can go up to an 8-10 bed unit and if staffing is adjusted based on acuity/need. The staffing can be a nurse/cna or nurse/LPN depending on acuity/ratio. ***TEAM nursing takes place on this unit with RN/LPN at times. RN needs to be comfortable working with LPN in team nursing and delegation. Admitted patients within the Emergency Department that are MedSurg Tele and PCU level of care. You may be asked to float amongst 4 Acuity Adaptive Units.* Units range in size from 23 to 29 beds Special Procedures/Unit Details : **ED Boarding consist of patients that are not always boarded in the ER, can be boarded in any other designated area of hospital waiting to be transferred to a MedSurg/PCU unit. These patients will be provided MedSurg/PCU level of care. There is high patient admission, discharge and transfers**Acuity adaptable unit Patients range from MS level of care to PCU /stepdown/ICU level of care, ratios will be based on level of acuity Special Equipment : This unit is a high paced ED hold unit that could see as many as 15 admissions in a day due to the constant turnover in admissions and transfers to inpatient beds. RNs could be asked to take a higher ratio if there is a need and influx is high. Ratios can range from 1:5-6, depending on need.RN needs to be able to function in a high paced area with fluctuating ratios. #Tier2 Travel Compliance Travelers University must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. SSN required at time of submittal DOB required at time of submittal RTO we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays. If 1 position is available, we can allow 3 submissions at one time. 18 months exp. required, however please refer to job description for any exceptions made depending on the unit License: Must be in hand prior to start date.
