Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow- These patients are transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit; TR Bands as well as EVERYTHING under the MEd/Surg umbrella, Basic arrhythmia knowledge.Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 bedsUnit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBARScrub Color: Navy BlueRTO: Maximum of 7 days per contractWeekends: Typically every other weekend though perm staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as neededFloating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as neededCall Requirements: Call is rare, response time is 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex, this is for core staff to manageHolidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays.
