ID: 63573006 Shift: 06:45-17:15 Description: Description:Unit Information: CVOR RN (703) Facility: HCA FLORIDA WESTSIDE HOSPITAL Address: 8201 W Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33324 Floor: Ground Building: Main Cost Center: 703 General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds: 2 OH Surgical Suites Number of Staff: Varies on volume, 2 RN, 2 Techs o Day Shift: 2 RNs and 2 Techs o Night Shift: on call Patient Ratios - 2:1 Type of Equipment: Open Heart instrumentation and supplies; TEE equipment, Ultrasound Documentation System: Meditech Call Requirements: On-call is required; approximately every other day and every other weekend. Typical Hiring Profile Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for this role) ACLS, BLS, 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s): CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, laser lead extractions, some Thoracic procedures, some endovascular procedures and standby for TVAR and mitral clips Prefer experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures May need to provide lunch relief in the following service lines: Vascular, Robotics, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery and Plastic Surgery Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently) Cardiovascular RNs assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical procedures Ensure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery, necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team, record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times Dress Code: Scrub Color OR/CVOR, scrubs are provided by the facility Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, etc. n/a General Comments No. of Positions: 2/2.
