While additional support is provided, candidates must be comfortable with and have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratiosScrub Color: NavySpecial Requirements: teaching hospital experience required, UCH surgical oncology unit, Majority of the procedures and diagnoses seen are related to the abdomen or pelvic area (Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, Stomach, unit primarily cares for patients with a known cancer diagnosis needing surgical interventions to manage their disease process or complications. Nursing staff provides care to patients to help achieve specific post-op milestones for discharge. No Chemotherapy or Biotherapy is administered on this unit. Staff does not need to be chemo certified to apply. Nursing care is provided accordingly to achieve specific post-op milestones for discharge. Patients do not typically receive Chemotherapy or Biotherapy while admitted on this unit, therefore, this type of certification is not needed to apply. Special Procedures/Unit Details : Specialty care is tailored towards diagnoses and procedures related to the abdomen or pelvic area. Nurses are given educational resources to support knowledge gaps for special precautions to consider with each procedure. - Gynecologic Oncology- Urology Oncology- Colorectal- Pancreatic- Liver- Stomach Special Equipment : This unit utilizes standard medical equipment that does not require specialized training. However, new & innovative technology is highly incorporated into everyday workflows, which is reviewed during orientation or at time of implementation. #Tier1 Travel Compliance Have you ever been employed by UCHealth (including, but not limited to UCHealth Medical Group, Medical Center of the Rockies, Memorial Hospital, Poudre Valley Hospital, and University of Colorado Hospital) or any of its affiliates in any capacity?
