Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required. First-timers accepted: Yes - Want to see they have a solid foundation as an RN if they are new to travel. > 2 year's experience in medical/surgical nursing.Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekendCerts REQ: BLS and active IL RN license required.Is on-call REQ? No.Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes will float to other Medical Surgical unitsOpen to accommodating block schedule? Will try but not guaranteed.Locals accepted: Yes- no radius. Must have active IL license in hand or be in application process to apply. RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Med/Surg. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Portable Oxygen tank. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience required. Enstage Kidney disease. Medical Surgical overflow -variety of diagnosis: UTI, pneumonia, cellulitis. Step down transfers from ICU and IMC with wide range of diagnosis Special Procedures/Unit Details : Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Difficult Urinary Catheter Insertion Team, Post Operative Care of the Kidney Transplant Patient. We are a very busy unit discharging and re-admitting about a third to half of the floor per day. On rare occasions, may have up to 7 patients. Special Equipment : Variety of central and peripheral IV lines, Variety of urinary catheter types, CBI, Hand Irrigation, chest tubes, JP drains, Nephrostomy tubes, ileal conduits #Tier2 Travel Compliance Required for Submission : Candidate must be pre-closed at time of submission: Review job details with the traveler. Confirm they understand the role requirements and are committed to completing compliance requirements in a timely manner. Confirm housing has been reviewed and secured (or can be secured) for the assignment location. SSN and DOB required at time of submission. Provide 2 3 interview availability windows with submission. RTO and start date must be confirmed and accurate at time of submission. Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved. Candidate must work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Required certifications must be included based on the job/unit description. AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted. RQI cards are not accepted. Illinois license must be active and in hand at time of submission unless otherwise noted in the job description. Background check findings must be disclosed at submission for client review and approval. Submission Rules : References may be pending at time of submission. Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler. Floating is required for all travelers and may include floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities. Local candidates are accepted for all specialties except OR RN. OR RN candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. Start / Facility Instructions Compliance Requirements: Lab appointment, DocuSign documents, and badge photo must be completed within 1 week of contract signing. Allied clinicians in roles that do not require licensure at submission must arrive 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting. Modules: Modules are completed pre-start and renewed annually. Up to 16 hours of modules are non-billable. Non-clinical module hours are fixed; clinical module hours may vary by specialty. Module access and login information are provided prior to start. Orientation Day 1 Expectations: The first day of the assignment is a virtual, at-home orientation day. Travelers must check for and complete any assigned modules on Day 1. The client maintains strict module deadlines; all required Day 1 modules must be completed by 4:00 PM CST.
